MAC take league lead after shootout win2016-11-21
After winning their first league match Friday night following the international break MAC was back on the ice on Sunday night to take on Dunaújváros. The only change to the roster was that Bence Bödök had the day off with Arnold Silló rotating into the lineup. It looks as if Head Coach Gergely Majoross has the new line combinations set with the addition of Jon Booras who took the spot of Winston Day Chief. The big power forward has been lost for the season. With shuffling of the lines it looks like krisztián Nagy will be centering a line of Erik Keresztury and István Terbócs.
This line opened up the scoring as Kerestury redirected a Ryan Ruikka shot past the DAB goalie, minutes later Kristóf Schmál scored his first goal of the season when Tamás Pozsgai took a shot from the blue line that bounced off of Schmál and into the net. MAC took a 3-0 lead into the first intermission when Nagy made a nice tape to tape pass down low to Terbócs who just tapped in the puck.
The scoring continued in the second period as Csaba Kovács skated in on net and scored a shorthanded goal in opening minutes. DAB ended the shutout that Bence Bálizs had going but minutes later Áron Könczei scored off of a backdoor pass to put MAC back up by four goals. DAB scored in a power play goal in the last minute of the second period. The only goal scored in the third period was a Krisztián Nagy goal when he flipped the puck over the Dunaújváros goalie to set the final at 6-2.
