This past match week MAC Budapest picked up two wins in the ERSTE Liga out of two games and also once in the Hungarian Cup.
Gergely Arany started in net with Bence Bálizs serving as the backup. Jesse Dudás opened up the scoring in the first period to give MAC a 1-0 lead. In the second period MAC quickly opened up a three goal lead after Zsombor Garát and Balázs Somogyi found the back up in the opening minutes of the second period to make it 3-0. At the midway point of the game Brance Orbán also scored to make it 4-0 for the good guys. Fehérvár scored late in the game to end the shutout that Arany had going but MAC cruised to a 4-1 win.
Bence Bálizs was back in the cage as MAC was looking for revenge for their loss to UTE the week before. UTE took a 1-0 lead with a power play goal however Keegan Dansereau tied the game up before the period was over. The game stayed tied at 1-1 until the 29th minute when Scott MacCaulay found the back of the net, minutes later MAC had a two goal lead thanks to a score by Krisztián Nagy. UTE got back within a goal on a power play score to make it 3-2. Dansereau scored his second of the game in the third period to get MAC back up by two goals. Ten minutes later Brance Orbán scored the fifth and final goal of the game.
MAC-Vasas 10-0 (Hungarian Cup)
There were a number of junior players that played up for the cup game. Kristóf Nagy was in goal with Gergely Arany serving as the backup. MAC took control right off the start as Erik Keresztury and Tamás Pozsgai gave MAC a 2-0 lead after the first twenty minutes. Pozsgai scored a shorthanded goal. Chris Bodó made it 3-0 in the early minutes of the second period, after Vasas switched goalies the scoring picked up. MAC scored four more times before the period was out, Keresztury scored his second of the game with Zsombor Garát, Bodó and Balázs Somogyi making it 7-0. The young guys did all the scoring in the third period as Dávid Molnár, Árpád Lőczi and Richárd Kedves all scoring in the third period.
