MAC Budapest is in the middle of training camp as they are getting ready for the upcoming season and the roster looks to be set as well. The final addition to the roster has arrived as well with the addition of Wes Cunningham.
Cunningham is a 30 year old defenceman, who for the time being will be the final import addition to MAC Budapest. Gergely Majoross and the management have decided to start the season with 2 import defencemen and 3 import forwards. The London, Ontario native played juniors in the OHL with Belleville and Plymouth. Since then he has spent the past 7 out of the 9 seasons in the ECHL with the other two seasons being spent in Europe. The 2012-13 season was spent in Norway and the 2014-15 season was in France.
With the addition of Cunningham MAC currently has 8 blueliners, along with Cunningham the other import is Scott Maccauley. There are 5 players with Hungarian senior national team experience, Zsombor Garát, István Mestyán, Bronson Kovács, Roland Vokla, with Tamás Pozsgai being the leader of the group. Nándor Fejes is a young players who could take a giant step forward this coming season.
Up front the team has three forwards, with one being a familiar face as Tomas Klempa is back after spending one season in Brasov,Jared Brown spent last season in Debrecen. The third import is Jarmo Jokila who played for the Finland U18 national team. Other new faces are Keegan Dansereau and Brance Orbán, both made their debut for the Hungarian national team. Dávid Molnár is a young player who joined the MAC from Debrecen, other young forwards who will get playing time is Barna Majoross and Gergely Tóth. The core group of the team is staying, Gergő Nagy, Krisztián Nagy, Erik Keresztury, István Terbócs, Balázs Somogyi and Richárd Tóth are back for the next season.
Keeping the back end together for the third season in a row will be the duo of Bence Bálizs and Gergely Arany.
