Isten hozott, Brance Orbán!2017-05-25
Somogyi Balázs a MAC Budapestben folytatja pályafutását!2017-05-28
Former Fehérvár forward Brance Orbán has joined MAC Budapest for the 2017-18 season. Brance listed a number of reasons why the city of Budapest and MAC were so appealing to him in his decision to sign with the club. “MAC Budapest has a great reputation for being a great hockey organization in Hungary that treats their players very well. The city of Budapest is my favourite city in Europe that I have been to! The possibility of the team moving into the EBEL was very intriguing for me.”
Orbán played in the MOL League two seasons ago as a member of the Fehérvar farm team where he had 52 points in 26 games. He was also called up to the EBEL for 29 games. This last season he played the entire season in the EBEL as well as making his Hungarian national team debut.
Naturally he would like to help the team win their first league title. “ I would like to win the championships and to contribute to the team's success”. He also described what kind of player he is and what he can bring to the table as a forward. “I am a competitive play making forward that has the ability to score goals. I believe my biggest asset as a player is my hockey sense and ability to think the game quickly. A plus of my game is that I am willing to do whatever it takes for the team to succeed and I'm a good teammate on and off the ice. As an athlete, I am very grateful that I have the ability to play professional ice hockey for a living. I take a lot of pride in my job and I am a very committed to my profession. I believe that hockey is the best sport because it doesn't matter where a person is from or what language they speak , the many hours both at the rink and away from the rink with your teammates creates the feeling of a brotherhood.”
Wherever or with whom Head Coach Gergely Majoross decides to use Orbán in the forward unit he will be positive addition to MAC Budapest.
