It looked as if MAC had finally gotten their scoring touch back over the weekend as they scored six goals in Csíkszereda, however they also allowed the opponent to get back into the game in the third period. The game started off great as it wasn’t even two minutes old when MAC was already leading off of a goal by Ryan Ruikka and they took a 3-0 lead into the the first intermission when Csaba Kovács and Dezső Roczanov scored in the closing minutes of the first period. From the midway point of the game only power play goals were scored, as Gergő Nagy and a second Roczanov goal, both with the man advantage put the Budapest club up 5-0.
Csíkszereda ran off three unanswered power play goals, one in the second and two in the third to get back into the game. Balázs Somogyi would score his third goal in two games to put the team back up by three in the closing minutes of the game.
