For the first time this season when the final whistle sounded MAC Budapest had earned zero points after 60 minutes of hockey. MAC started their first Romanian road trip of the season on Friday night against Brasov, a team that had two former players in Tomas Klempa and Ian McDonald. The two former MAC forwards combined for the opening goal as Klempa set up McDonald. Later in the period Winston Day Chief pulled MAc back level at 1-1, but that was all the scoring the team could produce as Zsolt Péter scored the winning goal for Brasov. Bronson Kovács picked up a game misconduct in the closing minutes of the game. The MAC losing streak is now at three games.
Gergely Majoross, head coach: It was a really good game, it was way above what is usually played in this league. We worked hard but just couldn’t find a way to score more goals and it was really frustrating. We had a really hard time in controlling our offence and this was not something I expected with my team. Brasov played really well on the defensive end. I am sure that if they keep playing as they did tonight, every team will have a tough time winning here and they will be one of the top teams in the league.
